A common theme in the emails I've received is beauty from ashes. Tragedy or grief that spawns purpose and joy. It really is true that there would be no rainbows without rain. I kinda love and hate that life is like that. I'm pasting Caitlin's words below and be sure to follow her on Instagram at @campbell.cookies. If you're a cookier and would like to introduce yourself, please email me at Stephanie@dappercookie.com.
Campbell cookies was a complete God thing....never once did I ever think of decorating a cookie, let alone owning a home bakery😳I have my bachelor of fine arts in interior design, and right out of school I started taking care of my father who has stage 4 metastatic melanoma. I needed a job where I could be incredibly flexible (for surgeries and treatments) but also pay off student loans....holy. moly. Those student loans.
I worked as a manager at a local boutique, and started icing cookies in my spare time, till it got too hectic and I felt the Lord telling me to focus solely on cookies from home. And MAN, has it been the biggest blessing! Shortly after I quit my job & started this new one, I got married to the love of my life and best friend, who has been and continues to be my biggest fan😂We decided to name the business Campbell Cookies because Campbell is a long time family name and happens to be my middle name. My grandmother, who was the biggest cook and baker I've ever known, gave me her rolling pin and that's what I use for these little bits of yummy goodness...hoping to make her proud.
So, we live in a small town outside of San Antonio, Texas called Boerne (where I grew up on a farm). While my hot hubby works in finance, I work from home baking the day away, and taking care of our baby pups till the good Lord gives us human babies to watch over. I LOVE seeing how the Lord's plans *always* work out in the end!!!
